SCHEDULING & PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

This is a 24/7/365 public safety environment. You will work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. You will deal with situations that are unpredictable and sometimes difficult.

But you will also do work that genuinely matters. That is what makes the rest worth it.

  • Professional communication and conduct are required at all times
  • Accurate documentation and attention to detail are essential
  • Reliability and accountability are core expectations
  • Public trust is earned — and protected — through consistent professional behavior
Public trust matters. Deputies are held to a high standard of conduct. That is not a burden — it is the job.
Where can this
career take you?

As staffing and qualifications permit, deputies may pursue specialized assignments. These are not entry-level roles — they are earned through performance, training, and time on the job. But they are there.
