Union County, Ohio

Emergency Management Agency (EMA)

Brad Gilbert, Director

Our Vision      is to be a dynamic coordinating organization using an all hazard planning approach and information exchange         that  creates a community culture of preparedness and fosters partnerships, so that when disaster strikes Union County will work together, with neighbor helping neighbor.  All activities of the agency will be based on the values of customer satisfaction, equal treatment, integrity, knowledge, open communication, commitment, team work and accountability.

Our Mission     is to serve the citizens of the Union County and it's communities through effective planning for natural and man-made disasters.         Our goal is to save lives, protect property and the environment through coordination of an integrated emergency management system with all emergency response organizations, support services and volunteers.     We will be proactive in educating the general public how to mitigate and prepare for potential emergencies.     We will train and exercise emergency responders in both the public and private sectors.   We will coordinate efforts toward a rapid recovery from disasters with an effective disaster assistance program.
