The Union County Engineer issues permits for all new driveways along county and township roads. Driveway installations are permitted in accordance with the Requirements for Work Within Road Right-of-Way. Driveway locations are additionally controlled by the Access Management Regulations and Common Access Drive (CAD) Regulations.
The Union County Rural House Numbering System was started in 1973. The Union County Engineer is responsible for assigning all addresses in the unincorporated areas of the County.
