Said Premises Appraised at $275,000 and cannot be sold for less than two-thirds of that amount. Appraisal may only include exterior viewing. Taxes, recording fees, and conveyance fees may NOT be included in the sale price. All Sales are at Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware). A second sale date of April 15, 2026, at 9:00 am will be offered if the first sale is unsuccessful.
TERMS OF SALE: The successful bidder will complete the Purchaser’s Information Form, and all third-party purchasers shall make a sale deposit as follows:
If the appraised value of the property is:
Less than or equal to $10,000, the deposit due is $2,000.00.
Greater than $10,000 but less than or equal to $200,000, the deposit due is $5,000.
Greater than $200,000, the deposit due is $10,000.
The successful bidder MUST have a personal or certified check, cashier’s check, money order, or cash in the amount of the listed deposits. The successful bidder CANNOT leave the premises before paying the deposit. The remainder of the accepted bid is due within 30 days upon confirmation of the sale.

The Board will allow citizen comments/discussions at their discretion. The Open Meetings Act mandates that all meetings of the County Commissioners are open to the public, unless in executive session, however the Act does not necessarily provide attendees the right to be heard at meetings.

CDBG Small Cities Program
Public Notice
Union County is in the process of executing a new agreement with Ohio’s State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to facilitate compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act for projects that are funded through the Ohio CDBG Small Cities Program.
The County is seeking comments from interested residents. Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act requires Union County to identify residents and organizations with an interest in historic preservation, and to invite them to participate in consultations about the potential effects of proposed projects it carries out that may have an impact on historic properties.
