Union County Veterans Service Office

The Veterans Service Office handles day-to-day operations of the agency and carries out policies set by the Veterans Service Commission.

MISSION STATEMENT: A team effort by professionals whose primary goal is to serve Union Countie's Veterans, spouses, and/or survivors in all matters pertaining to veteran benefits.  Provides emergency and temporary financial assistance to eligible veterans and/or their spouses and family.  Transports veterans to VA medical facilities or VA-referred medical facilities in Ohio.  Assists in the preparation and submittal of claims to the federal Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on behalf of the veteran or the living spouse of a deceased veteran.  Further, tracks claims this office submits to the VA.  Promotes our services around the entire county.
 

Dale Bartow
Executive Director

Dale Bartow served in the U.S. Army and the Ohio Army National Guard for a total of 26 years, 12 of those being on active duty.  He retired in 2005 at the rank of First Sergeant (E-8).  Dale assumed the Directorship of the VSO in February 2008.  He and his family reside in Marysville.  He is a member of American Legion Post 79 and AMVETS Post 28.

Linda C. Fuqua
Deputy Director, CVSO

Linda C. Fuqua served 4 years active duty in the U.S. Navy and completed a 22 year career in 1996 retiring as a Hospital Corpsman First Class Petty Officer (E-6).  She served in the Fleet Hospital reserve unit of the Navy and Marine Corp.  Linda was born and raised in Mansfield and currently resides in Plain City.  She was employed in the office in February 2009.

Andrew Stahl
Veterans Service Officer

Andrew Stahl served 8 years in the Army Reserves with the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion(Airborne). In 2009, he was mobilized to Operation Enduring Freedom where he spent 10 months on Combat Outpost Monti in Kunar, Afghanistan working with infantry platoons from the 173rd Airborne Brigade and 101st Airborne Division, and conducting Afghan National Police Training.  Andrew joined the Veterans Service Office in November 2013 and resides near Raymond with his wife and family.

Randall Bartoe
Clerk/Transportation Coordinator
