Elections will be conducted by the Ohio Soil and Water Commission during our Annual Meeting from 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm. The term of the current Supervisors, Bill Conklin & Andy Clarridge, will be expiring on December 31, 2019.

There are three ways eligible voters can cast a ballot:​

1. At the annual meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 2019 between the hours of 5:45 pm and 6:45 pm at the Der Dutchman restaurant, 445 S Jefferson Ave, Plain City, OH 43064. 

1. In person at the Union SWCD office from 8:00 am  to 4:30 pm from July 24  - August 14, 2019, or in person at the Union SWCD office from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on August 14, 2019.

1. Vote absentee by mail, requesting the proper absentee request forms by July 24, 2019 from the Union SWCD office at 18000 State Route 4, Suite B, Marysville, OH 43040. Election Legal Notice

The Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission will cause an election of Supervisors of the Union  Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to be held in accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code on August 14, 2018 at the Der Dutchman restaurant, 445 S Jefferson Ave, Plain City, OH 43064.  Two candidates will be elected for a three year term, starting January 1, 2020. 

Who Can Vote?

To be eligible you must be of legal voting age (18 years) and either be a Union County resident, or own land or occupy lands in Union  County and be one of the following a non-resident, Firm, corporation, LLC, or trust.

How Do I Vote?

There are three ways an eligible voter can cast a ballot:

1.  At the annual meeting on August 14, 2019 between the hours of 5:45 pm and 6:45 pm

2.  In person at the Union SWCD office from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm on August 14, 2019

3.  Vote absentee by requesting the proper absentee request forms by July 24, 2019 from the Union SWCD office at 18000 State Route 4, Suite B, Marysville, OH 43040.

 Absentee Ballot Request

Union  County residents, or non-residents, Firms, corporations, LLCs, and trusts that own land or occupy lands in Union  County can vote absentee by mail or in person.

Absentee ballots may be obtained by requesting the proper absentee request forms from the SWCD office or visiting our website at www.co.union.oh.us/union-soil-water-conservation-district/ . Requests for absentee ballots must be received in writing using an absentee ballot request form. You can choose from the following two options:

1. By Mail - requests must be received by the Union  SWCD office, between July 24 - August 14, 2019.

​Union  County Residents: if requesting this ballot by mail, please complete the Resident Absentee Ballot Request Form(pdf). Please complete and submit to: Union  SWCD, 18000 State Route 4, Suite B, Marysville, OH 43040.  Submitted request forms for absentee ballots must contain original signature to be valid. Faxes or e-mail attachments will not be accepted.

​Firm, Corporation, LLC, trusts, and non-residents that own land or occupy lands in Union  County: if requesting this form, please complete the Non-Resident Absentee Ballot Request Form(pdf) and either the Non-Resident Affidavit(pdf) or the Corporation Affidavit Form(pdf). Please complete and submit to: Union  SWCD, 18000 State Route 4, Suite B, Marysville, OH 43040.  Submitted request forms for absentee ballots must contain original signature to be valid. 2. 43040. and request an absentee ballot in person during regular business hours between July 24,   - August 13, 2019 and on August 14, 2019 until 3:00 pm.

Vote in Person at the Annual Meeting

Please remember, you can cast your ballot during the annual meeting on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 between the hours of 5:45 pm and 6:45 pm at the Der Dutchman restaurant, 445 S Jefferson Ave, Plain City, OH 43064.  The winning candidate will be announced after a short presentation and awards ceremony recognizing individuals, families, and organizations for their conservation efforts.  The awards begin at 7:30 pm.
